Common sense.. prudence.. humility.. do not seem to be in Clinton's reproture. Dang, JFQ, it's just worked my last nerve, as we said in SF. I don't think (knowing I could be wrong, as I often am) that there is anything they could get him on in the other cases, or it would have been brought forth first. And this... this.. it didn't have to happen. What a ditz. I can't say that I've ever had any great, or small, respect for him on a personal level, but I preferred him to the Republicans that dislike me so, and I'm angry. He should be taken by the collar and slammed against the nearest wall for being such a complete jerk. He could have told the truth about Monica. He could have settled the Paula Jones case. But nooooooooo... he has to be arrogant and he has to lie in court. And the lie about Monica in the courtroom would probably not be tried in a regular case, but so what? We all know about it now and it affects him. It's one of the rare times that my father, a Republican his entire adult life, and I have agreed on anything about politics. I said that Eisenhower would have told them it's none of their business, he said that he would have told them to stick it. I laughed. And now when Clinton could stand up and say, "yes, I had a relationship with her that included sex. That's that," now he snivles and begs for forgiveness for "sins" that are only "sins" depending on your religion and/or views. I'm talking about the sex, not the lies. The lies are wrong, but "sin" is a charged word. He's a putz. No way around it. Do I want to paralyze the country? Nope. Am I angry as heck that at a time when so much is going on in the world that begs for leadership and direction and he's mixed up in this insanity? Yes. |
