VTSS is not directly competing with PMCS. It is one of the three major competitors in the GaAs chipsets business: VTSS, TQNT, and ANAD. GaAs chipsets are intensively used in cell phones and very high-speed network devices (OC 48 and above, or gigabit) industry.

There was no news directly related to VTSS's weakness except TLAB/CIEN earning warning today. However, no matter who wins, a thinly traded company -- American Xtal Tech (AXTI) in Silicon Valley should benefit from the competitions thanks to its patented technology in GaAs and Germanium wafer production for all electronic and opto-electronic applications.

At price about 8 and fractions with a PEG of 0.3, it will probably not be too long before AXTI becomes well known by the Wall Street.
