Tianrong Building Materials Holdings, Ltd., is a business development company that has acquired existing businesses in numerous industries.
On May 8, 1998, the Company acquired an 80% interest in Chongquing Dazheng Emporium Co., Ltd., a Chinese holding company which owns a 200,000 square foot shopping center located in the Province of Szechuan. The shopping center has $144 million in revenue and $ 5 million in net revenue.
On April 15, 1998, TNRG acquired a 90% stake in a franchise of the United States Basketball League (OTC BB: USBL). The USBL is the first and only publicly traded Sports league allowing fans to become owners.
TNRG also acquired 96% of Nighthawk Entertainment Corporation in March 1998. Night Hawk is an entertainment and technology company engaged in some exciting ventures. The entertainment portion of the business consists of a 50% ownership in Cavalcade of Boxing. Cavalcade of Boxing has developed 45 one-hour programs, each of which feature a World Championship boxing match. The Company plans to market these programs to Pay-For- View and other television networks throughout Central and South America. The Company expects to add additional championship fight programs later this year.
The technology side of the business of Night Hawk includes the commercializing of four new high technology inventions including a Personal Electrocardiogram (ECG) Analyzer device for continuous testing and monitoring for heart disease. It has also developed a new scientific instrument which can provide a simple, reproducible method to examine morphologic, physiologic and biochemical consequences of stretch-induced injuries on tissue-cultured cells of the brain and other organs.
Through an agreement with American Imaging Technology, Inc., the Company will collaborate to develop a Fingerprint Image Verification System for use with bank ATM machines, employee identification and other security uses. |
