Kendall has made the legal distinction (only in the law do they do this!) that perjury isn't the same as lying in legal terms. Perjury is lying about something to purposely deceive. If you are able to read the transcript of This week with Sam and Cokie this last sunday, you'll see what Kendall had to say about this. But htere is a legal distinciton-from what I have heard-between the two terms. The only question is how do lawyers define the term Lie? I don't know.
