Here is an example of specialist control. At 3:45PM the stock was 23 the volume was 1.6 million and at the close the price was 23 13/16 and the volume was 1.824 million. He waited to put the big block through at the last minute. Why? I don't really know. I think, he wants to keep the stock quiet for the time being.
