Am I reading you right? Do you want isolationism? I place the U.S.'s isolationism of the 1920's and '30's as a secondary cause of WWII. Do we really want to repeat of such vile history?

I believe that the U.S. cannot solve the world's problems for it. The problems in Russia were caused by poor leadership and malfeasance. There was little more we could have done to help Russia, nor South Korea, Japan or Malaysia...they dug their own ditch with mountains of debt that finally threatens to bury them.

But we can remain active in the world and show that the U.S. understands its stake in the world picture...we have too much at stake to leave events to others' hands.

No to isolationism....we don't need a war for gold to go up.
