El Matador,

Actually, that Form 4 filing regarding the purchase of GNET shares was for me personally (it does not involve Xanthus Capital, LP).

As it relates to your question regarding PaineWebber brokers participating in Xanthus Capital, LP as limited partners, there is one broker that has an immaterial interest in the fund (less than 1%).

For whatever reason, there has been much mis-information on various message boards regarding who the limited partners of Xanthus Capital, LP are, and the lack of appropriate disclosure, and some type of involvement with PaineWebber. What I can say is at the time this person inquired about participating in Xanthus Capital, LP, in early 1996 I did in fact forward all of the appropriate limited partnership documents to PaineWebber for approval in advance of this immaterial participation. Moreover, this single person, as a limited partner (like every other limited partner) has no involvement in investment decisions regarding the partnership's portfolio of securities, including go2net.

I hope this helps.

Russell
