I was commenting to Freddy that it seemed as if Clinton couldn't have devised a better smokescreen for himself. Sex and relationships are such emotionally fraught issues everyone is sidetracked from the issues actually pertinent to impeachment. Everyone's so busy stepping on each other's moral toes that Bill has a chance to sneak out the door.
I don't know why any legal procedures would depend on our approval. That's why we have them set in place, to guard against emotional decisions and reactions. I don't know why we have the "right" to know sordid details, nor why we want to.
I feel bad that I called Monica a bimbo. I do think, however, that she is a young woman who demonstrated a decided lack of character, self-discipline, respect for others, and a great deal of gullibility. Why does being "in love" make bad behavior excusable? But she's no different from many 21 year olds. He, however, is the president of the United States, and dammit, he owed us better than he gave.
