JLA, that's not the point but nice try.

The question should rather be this: if Hyde or Burton, or anyone else---D or R--- was queried about their private life---sexual, medical, otherwise---in a purely political context, would they be as willing to tell the truth? knowing that the truth was to be used as a weapon against them or their agenda and not for its intrinsic value?.

As for Salon being a shill for the WH--not anymore so than the Spectator or Weekly Standard being a shill for the other side of the isle; though I find it interesting that Salon regularly features Horowitz and C.Hitchens---hardly personal or philosophical pals of the Prez. One thinks he's too left, the other, too right.
