===== Preliminary Price Comparison =======

Hi Bill, great job on comparing prices on CCI and CDNow.

It is difficult to compare CDs across the board. I find it easier to divide the cds into three categories: new releases, catalog items, and special items. New releases usually bring in the customers and have a lower profit margin (3-8%); their price tags are lower than catalog items. Catalog items are less volume driven and have a higher profit margin (upto 100-200%). Special items are compiltations, singles etc.

I have put together a preliminary price comparison for new release and catalog items between CCI, Amazon, CDNow, and MusicBlvd.

With New Releases you save from 7.14%-12.29%
With Catalog Items you save from 18.19%-26.43%

You can find the comparison at:

good trading to all.
