He "fessed up to it" the day before Salon printed the story. The story did quote the principals involved. And they still are mad about it. According to her daughter, the woman herself is outraged at Hyde's hypocrisy and grandstanding. Why make a big deal about a 30-year-old extramarital affair? Why make a big deal about a 20-year land deal? I live in Chicago, very close to Hyde's district. His actions and language are pretty creepy. I have little faith--as the national media seems to have--that he'll remain balanced and nonpartisan throughout these proceedings.
