Apparently you will remain in a state of denial until impeachment hearings commence. BTW, I have heard more than one democratic congressman assert that if the charges (NOT the immoral conduct) in Starr's report are true than he should be impeached.

This is not a partisan issue, although the White House and some democrats are trying desperately to paint it as such.

Any rational review of the evidence will conclude that the case for perjury is incontrovertible. Indeed, things are going to get much worse before better. There is a good chance that in the end, impeachment will be the least of Clinton's worries. The legal consequences of Clinton's actions are potentially much more serious (for him) than losing the White House.

<Or do we treat the President differently.>

Well since you brought it up. Do you think if an admiral was caught having an affair with a subordinate he would get to keep his job? He'd be out in a second.

IMO, Clinton's immoral conduct is not the issue but since you brought it up I just wanted to provide an example of where the President is definitely being treated differently and favorably.

Some people want to make a moral issue out of this. Seems pretty naive to me. Anyone shocked by the revelation that Clinton is a liar and has little morals must be truly ignorant. Clinton lied about his roll in the war, he lied about smoking dope, he lied about Flowers, etc. Everyone knew he was a lying cheat before he got elected. Nevertheless, the country (albeit a minority of people) elected him despite these traits. I have no problems with that....that's how a democracy works. However, I do believe that perjury or any other criminal behavior is sufficient grounds for a President to relieved of his duties. The congress, including many many democrats will reach this inevitable conclusion. Just watch.
