Hyde an excellent of the typical Republican hypocrite, "it happened 30 years ago, the statue of limitations has run out." That's the first I heard of a statue of limitations on ruining someones marriage. I notice he didn't bow his head and ask for foregiveness, rather he took the defiant stance, since 30 yrs has past---it was OK.

He never said it was okay. I think he just meant that it's ancient history. I forget his exact words, but he said something about him being young and dumb at the time. And we don't know if he asked for forgiveness from his wife. And it's truly none of our business.

Hyde will have trouble maintaining any credibility after this revelation and his apparent lack of remorse.

If Clinton's problem was just about sex, I'd say you're absolutely right. But it's not!!! It's about perjury (which I believe is a big deal!). Did Hyde perjure himself about his affair? No. And it's about sexual harrassment. Did Hyde's mistress get transferred from a job she wanted to a job she didn't want because of the affair? No. And was he in a position of power over her? No. And it's about obstruction of justice. Did Hyde cause millions of taxpayer money to be spent trying to find out the truth while he continually lied about it? No. When confronted with it, he readily admitted to it. Although what Hyde did was obviously very wrong, I think the way he handled the revelation was right on target.
