Eagles!
Isaiah 40
31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their]
strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they
shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not
faint.

I heard something interesting about eagles yesterday. Mother
eagles teach their young how to fly by taking them real high in the
air then they drop them.
It usually doesn't fly at first. The mother will race down and swoop
underneath it and catch it before it crashes to the ground and dies.
Then she flies it real high again and drops it... she flies down and
catches it again....this is repeated till the baby learns to fly by
itself.
We are God's eagles and when we become His children it's the same.
He takes us high...but then He expects maturity...He expects discipline
in the area of prayer, study, witnessing, family, and on and on.
We still are dependent on Him, but he drops us and expects us to fly.
We usually fall. At first slowly then it picks up as we race to the ground.
He always catches us before we are crushed and flies us to the top again...
then He repeats as the mother eagle.... until we learn to fly.
Of course if you are one of those lucky Christians that flew the first
time (HA! HA!) and you never went into a free fall then you can disregard
this analogy.

Thought for today: God is never late but He has missed a bunch of
chances to be early !!!!!.
