US Y2K settlement
One of the first legal cases relating to the year 2000 computer bug has been settled out of court in the United States. A Michigan retailer, Produce Palace International, and the maker of its computerised cash register system, TEC America Inc, have settled a dispute over alleged flaws in the system - including Y2K recognition problems on credit cards - for $US260,000 ($438,892), according to PRNewswire report.
