Thats only true if you choose MB's "in-house" ECN shopper ARCA (Archipelego). That one goes to TNTO first, Terra Nova's ECN, then looks at ISLD, INCA and other ECNs as well as SelectNet.

You can choose direct ISLD, SelectNet, SOES routing. ARCA often slows your execution as it shops and you can lose the order. ISLD is the largest ECN (behind INCA) and often provides much better liquidity and quicker trades than any other route.

Choosing incorrectly will often cost you $$$.
