>what do you feel is the risk/reward of lgnd at current levels?
Very good. I never really changed my opinion that LGND is worth looking at buying at $10 (now, $10 or below). Risks are still there, maybe even greater as I feel that Ligand will need to raise more cash by issuing more equity, or equity-like securities (don't need more dilution). That said, we should also discuss the upside. For a new investor who wants to hold long-term, a good stratgy may be to sell 1/2 if LGND hits $10 and hold the rest (a trader should sell all). For current investors, now may be the time to consider doubling up (but don't get greedy if LGND rises. Pick a sell point and stick to it). The same goes for many other bio's. Looks like this isn't going to be a quick recovery. Any buyer should be willing to wait 6 mo to a year. Also, the bottom looks to have been hit, but there's no guarantee it won't fall further.
I'm sure that I'll be called a 'naysayer' by someone (again), but you asked ;-)
BTW, gonna be bad today - S&P down 20.
