G'day all - yes, with ALA and ERICY being fed to the sharks, this sector will be under pressure. However, that should really make Nortel management stands out as genuine proactive managers by paring cost [by job cut and facility relocation etc] before tbe s**t hits the fan - and shift to the growth sector of the biz. On the personal note, no one likes to see people losing their jobs, but with the job growth in the US [at least] still on the tear, this is also the right time for the people to be released. Else where, it is hard to say. The latest stats seem to suggest the unemployment picture in Canada has become a bit less desolate, so again, that should take the bite out of the layoff.

best, Bosco
