I know someone who has been a christian for decades. During a conversation several years ago it came out that for most of that time Jesus was not real to her. I was dumbfounded because she was instrumental in getting me to church and saved. I was a different person from then on and I knew it. Before I was saved I was a sinner and my flesh was trained in the ways of sin. I had no pangs of conscience for my actions and felt fine about any bad thing I did. But after being saved I was transformed to a new person. I knew the Lord and was filled with a peace and tranquility unknown before. And after going through this "honeymoon" period with the Lord my flesh started trying to reassert itself. I now had this conscience (actually the Holy Spirit dwelling in me) that I did not have before telling me no while my flesh said yes. The sense of right and wrong I did not have before was there now and went to the very core of my being. What torment when I failed and was convicted by this conscience. And so on goes the battle that every true christian knows. My point is this, I was changed by a force outside myself. As the word says I have become a new creature. How did this transformation take place? It was Jesus. He is real. But for those who go to church and go through the motions He may not be. You posted once that you were like that until an experience in the hospital that changed you. You were going through the motions, not knowing Jesus. But then you were changed also by an outside force which you have explained before to us. But it was not by Jesus. So who is left but the spirit of the anti-christ that deceives the whole world, all those who are not true believers. He has also deceived you, I am sorry to say. Whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ, this is the spirit of the antichrist (the devil). The very nature of his work is to deceive those that swallow his lies in such a way that they are not aware of him. But they see others things that they believe, but it is just smoke and mirrors by the devil. If you saw the devil in it you may say, hey, wait a minute. If you are real then so must be Jesus and I have made a mistake. So the devil hides behind thousands of other deceptions and deceives by craftiness using his power to create illusions for people to believe in. To keep you away from the true Jesus.
