Good WSJ article (I guess). I agree with the "Iron Stomach" comment. Why didn't they run an article when TDFX blew out earnings? Guess we'll never know...

For the "Iron Stomach Brigade" - here's what we need to be watching for in the short-to-medium term:

1. Banshee boards from Guillemet and Diamond should hit store shelves in early October.

2. The (mythical?) OEM announcements gotta happen soon or it won't matter for X-mas.

3. "Sin" and "Half-Life" should be released in mid-October.

4. Technology previews of Rampage should start leaking out by the end of the year.

5. The "high-powered" ad campaign should kick in soon.

6. Magazine reviews of Banshee, TNT, S3, G200, etc. should continue for the next couple of months.

7. Rumors of Banshee 2 - AGP 2, .25mu, 125MHz - should appear soon.

8. Gaming software companies will be ramping up advertising in preparation for Xmas.

9. Multiplayer support for "Unreal" will appear soon - along with additional levels and addons.

10. Consolidation in the industry may begin soon. Unclear what that means for TDFX.

FWIW, I never did get the truck out of Neutral the other day (only 3 trades went thru at 8 and my limit order wasn't one of them). But I'm still itching to pull the trigger if it gets that low again.
