To all:
It has taken nearly two years, but I have finally reached a blissful state of detachment from the daily foam and froth of Luxor Industrial Corporation. I can now hear the reports of "what may someday come to pass" with little, if any, emotional response. It is a little like going to a seminar or workshop on some topic related to your business which you have heard many, many, times before. You are interested , in a detached sort of way, on the odd chance that some fragment of something new may be uttered which would shake you out of your lethargy...
Just like Imal, I too have heard of some wonderful projects in the works involving efforts which have taken months if not years to bring to fruition. I am especially happy for J.T. Taylor and his family and some of the other Directors in that this "labor of love" ( and sweat) may finally be positioned to bear some fruit. He and some others have been into this thing 10 years or more and whereas it seems to me that progress moves like mollasses on a cold winter's day, imagine what it would be like to be waiting 10 years for these events!!
As I reflect back on the last year and a half, I still view things positively. The knowledge I have acquired about the construction industry, Canadian/US business relations, the US and Canadian stock markets, and the trials and tribulations of getting a worthwhile product to market are all information topics which will serve me well in the future. Most especially I am grateful for the extensive cast of characters I have encountered in this journey who have shared their wisdom, encouragement and sometimes painful "reality checks." In most cases, I expect we will continue to correspond regardless of whether Luxor rolls sevens or "snake-eyes".
We are perched now, on a precipice of sorts. Gathered around the edge are the long suffering Directors, staff and loyal stockholders. Some newcomers are joining our ranks from time to time and I welcome them as well for their courage in taking a risk on this type of company. None of us know for sure what the outcome will be, but it does appear that there is dust being stirred up on our horizon and something is approaching... |
