All the conjecture about conspiracy theories is pretty well pointless unless it helps to understand the movement in the stock price. The problem with these theories is that they can be used as a catch-all to justify the price movement and to disregard other factors that may really be driving the stock. There are vested interests that try to move the stock around - the investment bankers and underwriters have a huge vested interest in NZMA and the inet sector and they are profiting handsomely by touting these stocks. So what - that's to be expected and should be understood - not complained about when the stock doesn't go in the direction one would prefer. With a few major IPOs slated to come out soon we should expect the promotion engines to be churning up the waters for the inet stocks to a froth.
