I've recently taken an interest in AMZN (looking to the short side) and I am just wondering, who in the hell in their right mind would buy this stock? Is there any rationale, no matter how perverse, for buying this stock? I mean BKS has a market cap of 1.73 billion and sells more books online that AMZN, BKS makes a profit, yet AMZN has a market cap of 4 billion??
What am I missing here?
How did this stock ever get so high? Please explain, because I just don't understand it.
