Missed deadlines would just be another excuse to hammer the stock. If there's no official deadline... Huh?! Are you for real? The reason missed deadline will hammer the stock is that I as a shareholder can decide if I still have faith in the company to deliver. If I deem the delay reasons as unreasonable, I will sell my shares at a loss to prevent even bigger loss. Ignorance is not a blessing when it comes to the stock market. As an investor I want to know as much as I possibly can so that I can evaluate my investment. I much prefer to own a stock that is getting hammered because the company does not execute as it should, than one that either gets hammered based on FUD or does not move up as it should because everyone always wonders how forthright the management is.
