What's even worse than CNBC ads, for those of us that get CNBC via cable rather than satellite, is the local ads sold by the cable provider. The most useful feature of CNBC is the tape. These local ads interrupt it, and my cable company says there's nothing they can do about it. Bulls**t! They always run split screens inserting local info on the Weather Channel. The only thing you can do (besides getting a satellite receiver)is go to some of the financially oriented advertisers and let them know what an irritant their full screen ads are. I-and. I'm sure a lot of other folks- let the "My Discount Broker" people have a piece of my mind about this issue. Now they've taken their local ads national. Sorry about that.<G>
