I don't know how Merrill can say PC growth is waning when actually it is not and more over how they can separate the PC from communications industry.The only waning that one sees in PC growth is due to the worldwide economic slump if anything but the funny thing is contrary to Kurlack & CO's opinion the the PC industry is still growing at a healthy clip in countries where the economy is still growing,ie the U.S,Europe,China, India,Taiwan and the like and in another 12-24 months when the others particularly the S.E countries come back there is no telling what the growth is going to be,and don't forget Japan one day they will fix their damn economy too.

Another thing to remember is only in the U.S the PC is all pervasive, I think 46% or so households here have PCs,but the rest of the world it pretty much zilch even now.Oh yeah PC growth is waning,may be Kurlack's head needs to be examined. yet another proof that he is a world class nincompooh I may say so.

How can these clowns separate PC & Communications,isn't that we are doing right now and here.In my opinion PC is an integral part of communication and these two are not mutually exclusive to a great extent as PC is an enabling technology vis-a-vis communication.

PS:Much greatful to you for brining this article to our attention as I love to dis this idiot every chance I get.
