Pat I am always rational. Of course there is a price at which the stock buy back will make sense. My favorite target for that is the when the stock trades at the ammount of cash it holds (or may be a bit above book value). The point I was making was that that price will quick change to just above the amount that will not make sense to buy back if the buy back is not executed right. You could make a case that the buy back made sense at twice the current price or at least at ~12. But to get the best results, it has to be executed right. The only thing worse than doing nothing under attack, is using your ammunition up and missing the target.
