As a third generation dairy farmer<<closed up shop when was much younger>> from northern michigan, I can certainly agree with you on the quality of food product we so blindly eat everyday. Well the FDA will ensure it's quality, right? That's a hoot.
I lived in a town with a population just above 500 people, we use to own the local creamery suppling all the towns dairy.
Now, the closest manufacturer is probably 500 miles away and is trucked in via the national highway system. Big business or what some call progress?? Just line the right peoples pockets, add the right regulations and the means to ship products anywhere and poof.... all the local producers and manufacturers are gone. Now multi nationals and government control the means of manufacturing.

BTW: yes we do have a BP gas station. The road commission decided to straighten the road right in front of the land they owned. Poof, one local gas station done. one to go.

Last post on this subject--- I get way to pissed off thinking about it.

Good Luck...
