Let's keep our eye on the ball here people - Rampage.

It's unclear to me whether a buy back would help 3Dfx deliver Rampage on time or not, but delivering Rampage in a timely manner and with a killer feature set should be Priority One in my opinion. Anything that distracts from that is definitely A Bad Thing.

It's obvious that Banshee 2 is a necessary evil that will probably cause some distraction, but it appears that 3Dfx's R&D budget is sufficient to handle 2 development efforts for a couple of months. If a buy back threatens this capability, then it should not occur.

I get the sense from reading some of the recent messages that people are looking for anything that will give the stock a short term pop and allow them to get out. Anyone with that mindset should probably get out now. Only members of the "Iron Stomach" brigade need stick around at this point.
