15:26 ET Vitesse Semiconductor (VTSS) 23 13/16 -4 7/16 (-16%): Chip maker's shares have fallen 16% amid renewed fears that growth in telecom equipment market is slowing. Two of its customers, CIENA and Tellabs, have already warned. And this morning, world's 4th largest telecom equipment maker said it expects to disappoint, because of customer spending reductions caused by Asian economic turmoil.
