I think currently many of the things being sold on ebay don't even cover the sales tax. Seller(Professional not people selling own stuff) probably thinks that if they can move enough of XYZ at only a 5% margin then they can still make good money. And pretty sure that many do not have the products yet and will only buy them when auction almost over or else is drop shipping them from other companies. Anyone have any thoughs on the large number of people(sellers and buyers) that have made a living off the sale of Information(Free Cable, Drop Shipping Sources, CloseOut Sources, Bennies.....).The margin if it works are huge since the only major costs are the CD or disk and the marketing costs(beside buyung information).
