Great Article Glen. Cash Flow VS EPS.

A common question when investing is "does the company have significant cash flow to fund expansion and meet operating commitments?".

I will be waiting for the financial statements to evaluate the cash flow from operations. I feel this number will be more relevant than the EPS numbers published.

A company with sustained negative cash flow will have a questionable future. A negative EPS (earnings per share) does not necessarily mean the demise of a company. Non-cash expenses can alter the picture. For example, the loss recognized by Fletcher Fine Foods (FFF) will impact SWP's EPS. However, the loss does not influence SWP's core operations.

The bottom line is not necessarily the bottom line for me. I want to see the Cash Flow from Operations number.
