I think the two companies have completely different expectations IMO. I think ASND is looking to partner with visible well regarded telephony companies positioned outside the US in order to help ASND build more credibility and a top tier player. ASND is quite honest about what they want to accomplish and have probably even shared this with ALA. ALA on the other hand wants to break into the domestic market and needs both datacom and US exposure. ASND gives this to them, however ALA hidden agenda is to take (and I do mean TAKE) ASND for everything they own. The business savvy at ASND will be greatly challenged. The French are notoriously hard to deal with on multiple levels. I think ASND may (and I mean MAY) not fully understand the magnitude of what ALA is looking for from the relationship. ALA is the cat in this one. OG
