Hello Frank. I guess we have to disagree on Greenspan even though you have heard me griping about his speeches many times. I still believe that Greenspan is the best FED Chairman we ever had. If you read up on it some more you may be seeing it the same way. Yes, I agree with you that he can move the markets tremendously and does so quite frequently in the last sev. years. I do feel, after listening to sev. Economists I like, that he is too slow on cutting interest rates at times and was too fast on raising interest rates a while back. That rate hike was my biggest gripe against him in a long time and now the slowness of cutting the rates. But I am not an expert in this. I listened to some GOV in the better economic States and hear that inflation is more a threat there than deflation. This intl. monetary problem puts Greenspan really between a Rock and a Hard Place. I don't believe that he is against the markets, he just feels that overly high stock prices may make people feel complacent and make them feel so rich that they take on lots of debt and if the market crashes would be in dire trouble. I personally like the markets to go up, up and away. gg. How were your stocks doing under prev. FED Chairmen? BTW, Mr. Greenspan is only the head of the FED but does not control the vote. He has a great input but in the end all work together. Yes, he was partly to blame with his Greenspan speak yesterday but like I said: I don't believe that it was the only reason.
