Humor me. Dollar is strong. US corp's are strong. US corp's profits are strong. Suddenly the world sees all this weakening.
We panic to find something that will hold its value. Gold will do.
But, as usual tomorrow comes, its a new day and something like the prospects of lower interest rates make all of the above valid again.

If you will accept the premise that gold will ignite when US relative strength is perceived to be finally, truly dying then tell me what you think will be the conditions causing such a change in perception.
