How does the MXi spec for 2D and 3D compare with products like Matrox G200 or TDFX Voodoo 2?
Joe,
It looks like MXi is expected to do better at peak pixels per second, and Voodoo2 does better at peak triangles per second. Any guesses why Intel is upgrading the graphics on Whitney ;^) ? Are you listening Paul?

MXi has a 3D rendering capability of greater than 2 million triangles per second with a fill rate of 120 million pixels per second. In summary, MXi will deliver integrated, high-performance 3D processing with all the features of much more expensive multi-chip solutions.
MXi will incorporate a complete list of state-of-the-art 3D graphics features, including bi-linear and tri-linear filtering, Alpha blending/fog, Gouraud shading, MIP mapping and Z buffering. Additionally, the MXi will be D3Dr and OpenGLr compliant for mainstream software compatibility.

Voodoo2 is an expandable architecture with a base configuration of a 192-bit memory architecture and 2.2 Gigabytes per second of memory bandwidth, delivering over 50 BOPS (Billions of Operations per Second). This configuration delivers an incredible 3 million triangles per second and 90 million dual-textured, bilinear-filtered, per-pixel MIP-mapped, alpha-blended, Z-buffered pixels per second, over three times the performance of the current Voodoo Graphics.
