Mike I went on a quick investigative search and I came up with three possibilities:

They are running out of money. They are having no success finding a larger corporate partner. The stock is being shorted in big way by those unscrupulous market makers. Here is an excerpt from one of their press releases:

Mr. Morris, while enthusiastic over these discoveries, issued a caution for constraint, due to the time and expense that would be required to bring such a product to market. ''We are a small, but innovative diagnostic Company, and lack the resources to fund this exciting work alone, therefore we will seek a significant partner, such as Hitachi or other pharmaceutical partners with an interest in birth control applications.''

An unexplained fall in a stock like this is just another good reason why I would love to see all these companies become fully reporting. I definitely would recommend calling WMED for their take on the recent stock price slide before assuming it's now a better investment because it's cheaper.
