HDP - can you show us chapter on verse which supports this? From everything I see, Gerry Ford's contention that an impeachable offence means anything the Congress chooses it to mean holds - and since we are seeing an extremely partisan game - everyone will be counting numbers - and eying the eventual Senate Vote - if it ever gets that far. There is regrettably a Kangaroo Court hysteria around now and my guess is that it won't abate for quite a while. The release of the taped testimony seems a classic double cross. Then, as usual, it depends how you look at it. We are in the zone of belief now - logic has little to do with it. Of course it is a crime or misdemenour to lie under oath - but then the lie was about a private affair (pun intended). Is this by itself enough to impeach a President - or is it more like a white lie? If you are a Clinton supporter YES, if you want the SOB out no matter what NO. There doesn't seem much middle ground. Is this the time when the Presidency is fatally wounded as an institution, completing the process started at the time of Nixon. E
