ANYONE EXPLAIN WHY THIS MAKES A DIFFERENCE KERRY WROTE^^^. If your purpose in having the certificates is to prevent those shares from being used by shorts, you can avoid that problem simply by having a cash account rather than a margin account.

thing is, worst shorting is on stocks under $1.00 where no margin buys are ever allowed, stock must be more than $4 or $5 per share to buy on margin.
