I hate to egg Bateman on, but the rumor-mill is full of stuff about how Newt made a big settlement with his ex-wife to hide his affairs and other indiscretions. She is under a gag order and cannot reveal the reasons for their divorce. Perhaps that is why Newt has been so darn quiet recently. And we thought he might was becoming statesmanlike.
