Hi all !!! I dont want to pre-empt Pat. She is spending the night in SAn Francisco tonight and will return to San Diego tomorrow sometime. Yes i went to the meeting and was wondering if Pat was around. A pretty lady in high heels walked by and sat down next to a nice looking gentleman. I wondered if that was Ron Carlini. Is so the lady would have to be Pat. The meeting started , the officers introduced and guess what. My sixth sense had been correct. The meeting was very efficient and cut and dry. No new annoucements but everyting Pat has ever said seemed to be on the mark. She is a very nice lady and we talked with Ron Carlini together for about an hour after the meeting. Jim Steenberg stepped out of his office to talk to us for another hour later on. Dr Cioffi is surprisingly young (39 they said) and very bright looking. He has rushing around a meeting room with some engineers. Steve Mascica (spee?) was around. He is a consultant and seemed to be very excited about their new Central Office equipment. The entire group as well as the people walking around the building seemed purposeful, pleasant and intent. Jim Hood explained the Central office equipment to us and it was impressive.

About 6 people that spend time on the internet were there and we all talked about CA and MT and JP........comic relief.

I am more open to indirect communications and my impression was that these folks are walking pretty upright making whatever deals look good to them and are not going to give the stuff away. They do like prospects abroad because of the lack of cable.

Competition.....Westell, WEstell and Westell.

They would like to make a deal with Alcatel and they do talk to everybody.

Timing was a little bit to the future. Maybe small orders in mid 97 and bigger orders from late 97 to very big orders in 1998. But i felt that they may surprise us.

Insider stock sales,, perhaps an employee wants to buy a house etc.

Again that is something before Pat gives you much more I am sure. I have not followed Amati too closely lately but they are in the neighbourhood and i went (after buying some at 14 1/2 today).
