BB, I appreciate your comments and the links that you provide. I have a question about the second technical-analysis chart of the DOW in the post I am responding to. It does seem that the DOW is now forming a "flag," but it is my understanding (based on limited TA experience and reading) that that formation is predictive of a break that is either up or down. In terms of a simple version of decision theory, the market is uncertain which way to go. It is torn in both directions, but this is an unstable condition that will likely be decisively resolved one way of the other. Your comments on the chart suggest that this kind of flag formation predicts a subsequent down movement. Would you comment on this? Thanks, Bruce
