Dan,
Anytime a person of political clout is taken to task it is a "poltical witchhunt". As sad as it may seem, it is necessary because the Demos and Repubs will not police their own ranks, and then give resistance when the other side finds dirt on one of their own. It's called partisan politics, and one of these days the American people are gonna wake up and realize that the Democrat and Republican parties are destroying civility and dividing this country. In the meantime, people continue to sell their souls for their narrow minded politcal alliances.
In the last 25 years the percent of all registered voters registered in third parties has risen from 3% to 14%. The Democratic party in that time has gone from 45% to 33% and the Republicans 22% to 25%. The day is coming when the 2 big players in the US political scene will come to an end and America will be for the better.
Bill Clinton is now useless and America will be much better off if Mr. Gore takes over. I will say, regardless of the reasons that Mr. Clinton got caught (whether Starr was out of line or not) that Mr. Clinton did get caught. He then compounded it by knowingly breaking the law to save his own ass even though it was a detriment to the nation. The load of crap that his lawyers are trying to shovel people is making the situation even worse. I don't like Gore, I don't like Newt, but I dislike having my intelligence insulted even more. It is time that a MAN step in to the Oval office, it is no place for an adolescent.
Sincerely,
Hraka
