Wow, you are misleading people!

An oral contract is not worth the paper it is not wriiten on.
Courts will accept paper over oral agreements 98% of the time unless there are credible witnesses to override the written contract.

This encourages sales people to lie freely to the customers.
They then overcome the burden of their lies by the fine print in their contracts. Thus the parole evidence is over ridden by contracts and in many cases is not accepted at all if there is no written contract.
This legal principle encourages lying.

Also, I notice you did not deal with the "caveat emptor" issue.
