Oh, oh. The largest pension fund in the U.S. has lost a good bit of money so far in this bear market. But what really hit me is that the benefits for the pensioners are GUARANTEED by the agencies that employ the fund. Now let's see, if the market crashes, does this mean that the agencies' budgets will go bust? This would cause the government to raise taxes further spiraling us into a recession.

And the fund manager says that no matter what they will stay fully invested. Somehow that doesn't sound like good money management to me but more like blind faith that we'll never experience another situation like the crash of '29 to '31.
