Pat: This is something similiar to what I hope Franklin will do in the near future...wherever I put a *asterisk *, its my insert below with the news released by Fuji Bank. Just making a statement here which I alluded to a few months ago about a possible partnership with a US Bank.

Fuji Bank & *Franklin Telecom* To Offer 24-Hour Internet, PhoneBanking Services

Corporation : TOKYO (Nikkei)--Fuji Bank / *FNet*
(8317) plans from October to phase in
around-the-clock banking services via the
Internet, telephone and debit cards, *free internet access with the purchase of Franklins phonecards* hoping
to attract more individual customers.

The Internet banking service, which includes
balance checks, money transfers and
account openings, will go 24 hours a day
from late October, followed by the telephone
banking service in December. Debit card
users will have an around-the-clock service
from January 1999. *FNet Card Holders will also have access with free banking privileges depending on the type of premium services on their account*.

The telephone banking service will be
commission free to subscribers who've signed
up to a special membership service. * You will also have all access to your FNet Bank Card Program. This program will include immediate access to your account showing all calls made, voice mail access over the net, and the ability to change services on the spot*

Fuji Bank / *Fnet* will also allow phone customers
from late October to open or close foreign
currency-denominated accounts and make
exchange contracts. This service, available
for accounts in dollars, German marks and
four other currencies, is only for customers
who have accounts with Fuji Bank and have
made telephone banking agreements.

The phone service for U.S. dollar accounts
will be available from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m.
on weekdays.

Could you imagine Franklin having a partner with a large US bank?
