Nice Christmas present, Dr. Amelio. Answering the question of Apple's OS strategy with the added bonus of a PR boost is the kind of smart move I think I'm beginning to expect from the good doctor. (Apple management=smart moves?!--an old oxymoron hopefully being relegated to the trash heap) The story of the original Apple visionary returning to the fold with some new toys in his pockets is one which Wall Street should react positively to. As word leaked out yesterday of Job's return, the stock snapped back from a prolonged decline. It should be up a bit more on Monday now that the official announcement has been made. Ok, Ok, I'm ready to read all the negative comments from the Wintel camp re NeXT's importance/relevance in the industry. I don't know enough about what NeXT truly has to offer, but it sounded good (big surprise) in the press release.
