AltaVista worth more than Compaq and Digital combined??? Who is this idiot. AV doesn't have a thing worth going to over YHOO, XCIT, SEEK, NSCP, MSFT, etc... except for the search engine. Yet most people don't really care about that. And its not the search engine that keeps the users. I think SEEK has a pretty boring interface, but compared to AV they're far superior. I think Compaq needs to partner with some major content provider. Let's see...Disney, nope. ABC...nope. NBC...nope. MSNBC...nope. CBS...no way!!! Maybe Time Warner. Also I think AV needs to do some acquistions. I was think that Compaq should buy a part of PointCast.
