You continue the misperception of many people that oral contracts are invalid by trotting out a folk bromide.

Sorry. I have enforced more than one oral contract in court.

You're right, if there is a written contract, it's hard to prove that oral agreements supercede the written contract. But most transactions don't involve written contracts. Ever ordered merchandise over the phone? No written contract. Ever walked into a store and taken goods to the counter to buy, or gone to a self-service gas pump to get gas? No written contract. But yes, a contract is involved and it is enforceable.

You are a prime example of the person who should put brain in gear before engaging mouth.
