Do you honestly believe that AMTD is the only on line firm that has
experienced equipment problems. I deal with 4 different firms
and they all have their bad days. This is partially due to
the rapid growth they are experiencing as internet trading is
probably one of the fastest growing segments of our economy. No
one foresaw the rush coming to the extent it has developed. You
can be sure that smarter people than you or I are well aware of
the problems and are moving to cure the ills. The other area is
technology capacity. This has improved and will always improve
to accomodate demand. What you need to do as an active trader
is to look beyond todays minor ills and see the potential of this
business and invest accordingly. The profits will come rapidly
as we progress and a few minor glitches wont matter if we focus
our mind on the positive.
The other day I made a trading mistake (my judgement) and I
reversed my position . The transaction cost was $16 bucks. I
believe that is fabulous. I did the same thing with a brokerage
firm and it cost me over $582. That is what will continue to
bring in the business and you and I can be glad we are on the
ground floor and can see the light..
